John Varvatos hosted a SOLD-OUT benefit concert on January 7, 2010 for the non-profit organization Road Recovery, with a one-time performance given by Grammy-Award Winning Artist Peter Frampton and FX’s Emmy nominated Rescue Me star and comedian Denis Leary, along with his band The Enablers. The concert, which took place at the John Varvatos’ 315 Bowery NYC store, was part of Varvatos’ Thursday Nite Live Concert Series and was held at the space that formerly housed the seminal underground music club CBGB’s. This special concert had WRXP Radio 101.9-FM’s Leslie Fram & Matt Pinfield as emcees including a musical performance led by Matt Pinfield with Road Recovery’s mentor staff.
Road Recovery's 2009 Benefit concert honoring the resilient musician Wayne Kramer- SOLD OUT the Nokia Theater in Times Square New York. Performers included; Wayne Kramer, Iggy Pop, Jerry Cantrell, Tom Morello, Perry and Etty Farrell, Gilby Clarke, Don Was, Billy Bragg. Also, Street Sweeper Social Club, Ours, Miggs, Middle Class Rut, Joan as Police Woman, Crazy James, and many many more surprise guests!!
Road Recovery's 10th Anniversary Benefit concert was held in 2008 at the Nokia Theater Times Square, New York City. Celebrating ten years helping young people battle addiction and other adversities, Road Recovery's Performance Workshop participants had the opportunity to perform along side their supportive "Rock Stars" from the entertainment/music industry.
Road Recovery's MasterTrax Series attracts entertainment industry professionals who wish to provide young people access and insight to life experiences by sharing their personal and professional knowledge and wisdom in an interactive forum with interested young adults enrolled in Road Recovery's TRAX Programs.
